Worley and Margaret Gardner
Gardner Winter Music Festival
The festival showcases traditional Appalachian acoustic music performed by musicians from West Virginia and surrounding states. In addition to providing on-stage performances, players also 'jam' with each other, teach workshops, share ideas, and socialize. The late Worley Gardner started this festival 31 years ago and his late wife Margaret Gardner continued it. The event continues as a tribute to them both. Hear examples of some of Worley's great tunes by Worley music lovers Patty Looman and Jeff Fedan.
The 31st GWMF was held the weekend of February 27 and 28, 2009
